🍞 Toaster Toss

2018 - Side project

During my final year of university (and alongside the development of Arque Skies), I worked on this mobile game in a team of 4. My main role was creating the art, though I also stepped into a Producer-type role. This was my first mobile game project, and a lot was learnt about what feels natural to mobile players, as well as monetisation and publishing.

While the game was available for free on Google Play, and in the process of being added to the Apple App Store, it was sadly removed as we could no longer keep up with Google Play's changing requirements.

Scalability was something we wanted to ensure was possible. The game could have allowed for a significant amount of levels, with an almost unless possibility of themes. The fairly simple core mechanic of bouncing objects also gave the opportunity to try different shaped items, and remix/build upon the gameplay.

🛠️  Development

As the game developed, the visuals went through gradual changes. This game was the first time I really got to work with UI in Unity.
